This indicator shows stores certified to accept Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) benefits.

Why is this important?

The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children, better known as the WIC Program, serves low-income populations who are nutritionally at-risk. The program provides nutritious foods to supplement diets, information on healthy eating, and referrals to health care to low-income women, infants, and children up to age five who may not otherwise have access to these services.
